A dense mixed use town centre development on the site of a former petrol station, along with renovation of the listed former cottages on site. Carroll Architects and Surveyors provided all architectural and surveying services. The constrained town centre site created many construction challenges, including the need for detailed archaeological investigations and soil remediation due to the former petrol station use. The completed development provides flats, shops and offices and has been extremely successful, with very high occupancy levels even during the most difficult trading periods.
